ADVICE on a long distance relationship????

I MOVED FROM CA., AFTER BEING WITH A WOMAN I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE WIFE.I MOVED TO BETTER MY LIFE,I WAS AN ALCOHOLIC AND FELT TO DO RIGHT BY HER, I NEEDED TO STRAIGHTEN UP AND START SOMEWHERE NEW WITHOUT ALL THE PARTY GANG AROUND.SHE SAYS SHE WOULD LIKE TO MARRY BUT DOESN'T UNDERSTAND I NEED HER TO MOVE TO TENN, INSTEAD OF ME GOING BACK TO CA.SHE DOESN'T WANT TO LEAVE FAMILY AND FRIENDS.WHAT ON EARTH AM I TO DO????ADVICE on a long distance relationship????

She has to make that decision. Or, maybe you could move to a different part of California where you are still close to her family and friends but far enough away from your bad influences. Congratulations though on trying to straighten out your life. I think you will do it. Good luck.

i commend you on straighten up your life and being wise enough to remove yourself from the situation in order to do so. but really, see where the two of you can reach an agreement, if any. she may have never lived outside of CA, and is too scared to do so. she may not makes friends easily. she may feel that if she moves across country and it doesn't work out with you, where does she go from there with no family around. i understand that you need to stay away from the ';temptation'; of the ole gang, so perhaps move to another city in CA that isn't too far off from her friends/family. that way you keep the distance necessary for you, but she's not too distant from her comfort zone.





see what i mean? there's a ton of options, i suggest the two of you explore them thoroughly.
If you love her as much as you say you do then you should be where she is.
if she doesnt want to move you cant really force her to. the long distance thing can work if you guys are committed to making it work. my man is in jail at the moment and we are doing just fine with phone calls, letters, and visits. we do fight a lot more than we did when he was out though. its just more work but its worth it if she its for you
Looks like you are either going to have to go back there, or live without her.
